Parlaying inherited talents to become a productive artist was hard; but finding my own creative voice proved to be much more difficult. Since my early art appreciation days at the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia, PA in the early 80s, I've always searched for a way to connect to an audience. Appreciation is nice but communicating through art is much more gratifying. It took watching a short film about the famous German impressionist, Max Lieberman at LA's Skirball Cultural Center to realize that my precision black and white abstracts are that voice. My work reflects the relevant and popular issues that influence our social and cultural wellbeing.
