Loosely inspired by childhood memories of hand held construction toys such as Legos & wooden blocks, Kofies' work reflects moods which are both Cubist, Abstract & Architectural all in one. As a self-taught multi medium artist, he has been producing various works in his home town of Los Angeles for over 15 years, both individually and with select creative peers.

As an enthusiast for the audio and visual refuse of the the past, Kofies artwork reflects a life-long interest in diverse genres of West Coast Hard Edge, Futurism, Dutch Modernism as well as the progressive west coast Graffiti arts movement from which his artwork first gained attention in the mid 90's.

His automatistic creative process is unmistakably informed by his appreciation for line work, a natural color pallet, layering, placement and the overall creative process as a whole. Vintage analog, cut n' paste design & a draftsmen like thought process takes precedence over the ease of todays quick, digital production design, which he has admiration for but wishes to keep alive a hands on analog strategy.

Kofies fine art works emphasizes depth, movement & futuristic like growth, yet have an uncanny resemblance to ephemeral works produced in the 60's or 70's.
